孚乃利用禴，无咎。
If one is sincere, it furthers one to bring even a small offering. No blame.
孚乃利用禴，无咎。诚意足够，仪式简薄也无妨。此爻与萃卦六二同语，讲的都是诚胜于形。
升虚邑。
One pushes upward into an empty city.
升虚邑。进入空无一人的城。此爻没有断语，因为毫无阻力：想上就上，没有人挡。
王用亨于岐山，吉无咎。
The king offers him Mount Chi. Good fortune. No blame.
王用亨于岐山，吉。在山上祭祀。此爻的吉来自敬：走到高处仍知道要向上感谢。
贞吉，升阶。
Perseverance brings good fortune. One pushes upward by steps.
贞吉，升阶。一阶一阶上。此爻是升卦最踏实的一爻：不跳级，所以站得稳。
冥升，利于不息之贞。
Pushing upward in darkness. It furthers one to be unremittingly persevering.
冥升。在黑暗中还往上爬。利于不息之贞：此爻没说吉，只说如果你要继续，就得不停。
