Common Zi Wei Dou Shu Patterns
Patterns are traditional names for star combinations, a quick way to see a chart's character rather than verdicts of good or bad fortune. These are the patterns our chart detects automatically, with their conditions.

Patterns are traditional names for star combinations, a quick way to see a chart's character, not verdicts of good or bad fortune. Schools define them slightly differently; this site uses common definitions and shows the condition for each. Some patterns require a bright (Temple or Prosperous) star, and key star brightness is shown; afflicting stars are not weighed, so a full reading still weighs the whole chart.
